Wednesday, July 5: A grammar game, a birthday celebration, Austrian Sculpture Park, and practice for our farewell show

Wednesday was a very full day.  We started with a team grammar game, which we called "that's not fair." Students had to answer questions about grammar concepts that we worked on in class, and some questions were more challenging than others.

Happy birthday, Paige! Tuesday was Paige's birthday, so we celebrated with cake and snacks for the group.

Next on the schedule was a visit to the Austrian Sculpture Park.  Students needed to bring a lunch with them, so they had a bit of time to go to the supermarket before we headed to the bus stop. Of course, chocolate is a necessary part of any complete lunch. :)

Before we headed to the bus, students again had to take advantage of their favorite "Straßewasser" (street water), which is just a public water fountain. :)

At the Austrian Sculpture Park, students had time to explore in small groups.

Many of the students enjoyed the baby ducks in one of the ponds.

We even took a group picture in front of the sculpture entitled "The Fat House."

We returned to school where the students practiced for tomorrow's Farewell Show.  First, though, Noah treated us to a beautiful cello concert.

After school, some students joined us for our optional activity:  getting ice cream.  Many of them were sad because this may have been their last chance to get ice cream in Graz because tomorrow will be a busy last day.
