Monday, July 3 Classes, a birthday celebration, and a scavenger hunt

We were back to class on Monday. We started the day with some stretching.

Students continues to enjoy the views from our third floor space.  Here they are looking out of the window in the space where we often have our morning activities.

Students also had time to finish their pages for our magazine or to prepare for our farewell show. One act in the farewell show is a fashion show with pieces crocheted by Jocelyn.  Here you see Ben "modeling" one of her pieces. (It's actually supposed to have a scarf for your hair.) :)

Of course, we also find time for fun. Sofiya loves penguins, and some of the students really wanted her to draw a penguin (or a hedgehog) on their arms.  Don't worry, though.  It was just a dry erase marker. :)

Happy birthday to Jack!  His birthday was over the weekend, so we celebrated on Monday with cake and snacks.

After lunch, the students completed a grammar scavenger hunt.  Their task was to go into town and find as many examples as possible of the grammar concepts that we've learned.  Here are the top 3 teams.

On Tuesday, the top team was awarded a coupon for a free scoop of ice cream.
